Our Lexington Visitor’s Center revolves around activating a dead space in the urban area of downtown Lexington, Ky. through the lens of a comprehensive studio. In the studio, partners worked together to develop an understanding of all aspects of a design project. From sustainable practices in construction and following LEED standards, to innovative building systems integration, this project covered a range of architectural issues. Our focus throughout designing the project was the idea of activation of the unique downtown site through all aspects of design for visitors and residents alike.
